MYWINEDESIGN creates functional, timeless objects
for storing, carrying, and presenting wine in
professional and private spaces.

The baskets are tools to carry wine bottles from shop to home, from cellar to table, and from one occasion to the next. Designed for everyday use, they combine practical function with a clear design language, becoming objects to be seen as much as used. The signature objects of MYWINEDESIGN.

DISPLAY & STORE

Modular wine rack system that brings structure and gallery-style wine presentation to homes, cellars, wineries and hospitality spaces.

Modular, powder-coated steel wine racks in Bauhaus colours.
Display racks combine inclined storage with upright, label-facing presentation for shops and restaurants.
Storage racks keep bottles slightly inclined for long-term cellaring. Preassembled modules connect and expand as collections grow. Adjustable feet accommodate uneven floors; wall fixings secure the structure.

Martins Pilens
Founder & Designer

Architect and industrial designer Martins Pilens graduated from Bauhaus University Weimar. His work spans wine-related spaces and products, bringing architectural thinking to the way wine is carried, presented and stored.

I designed the wine baskets to carry wine bottles to and from tastings while studying at the Wine Academy. As a Bauhaus graduate, I drew inspiration for their proportions and geometry from the Bauhaus building in Dessau—a work of architecture I deeply admire.

A wine collection is constantly changing. Bottles are opened, others are added, and the racks are rarely full. The system is designed around this rhythm. Modules six bottles wide make it easy to replace bottles and reorganise the collection. The structure steps back, giving each bottle its own space, as in a gallery. Remove one, and the composition still holds.

As an architect, I approach every winery visit and tasting with a designer’s eye. I notice how wine is handled, presented, and stored, and where these processes could be improved. MYWINEDESIGN brings these observations together in functional objects.

All MYWINEDESIGN objects share the same rhythm, proportions, and design logic. Each new piece should complement the others and feel like part of the same system.

The wine racks are minimal, giving each bottle its own place. Their modular construction allows them to grow with your collection and adapt to the space available. They are easy to reassemble as your needs change.

Wine display stands, glass racks and wine bottle displays bridge storage and serving—keeping labels visible, stemware accessible and individual bottles in place. Powder-coated steel in Bauhaus colours creates a consistent design language for shops, wineries, restaurants and tastings.

A dedicated glass slot keeps your wine glass and notes in one hand,
leaving the other free to greet, write or pour. Made from translucent white acrylic, the board also provides a diffused background for assessing wine colour during walk-around tastings.
