Weingut Hirsch is a family estate in the 5th generation. Johannes Hirsch and his wife Sandra cultivate 31 hectares of vineyard, energetically supported by Johannes’s father Josef and his mother Christine. Since 1999 they have given undivided attention to the two grape varieties Riesling and Grüner Veltliner. The Hirsch family are very proud of the fact that they can work some of the best vineyard sites in the region: Lamm, Renner, Grub, Gaisberg and the legendary Heiligenstein. Rarely you get to meet winemakers with such great passion and vision for the future of their chosen path. We could not have been more lucky to be invited on a harvest tour with them and document their very friendly team and family.
